Founded in 2012 under the name "International Skill Education Quality Standards Accreditation," the institution initially focused on recognizing and accrediting professional skills and competencies across various sectors. In 2021, reflecting its expanded vision and mission, the organization adopted the name "International Education Board." Today, the IEB is a trusted global entity known for setting benchmarks in aesthetic medicine education and practice.

While not regulated by UK government authorities, the IEB operates as an independent institution that recognizes transnational skills, competencies, and professional abilities derived from internationally accepted best practices.
